The mission of the NJTOA is to:
 
Provide and effective means for the exchange of current and relevant issues and information;
 
Establish a secure "online" website through which information can be rapidly dispersed to it's members;
 
Establish liaison with tactical units throughout the state and country to improve on communication and relevant information exchange;
 
Provide quality tactical training programs;
 
Furtherance of "Best Practices" in the area of tactical operations;
 
Furthering the performance of highly trained teams of professionals involved in tactical operations.
